  1. For a very talented grade 12 oboe player (that have been playing the oboe for 4 years, but have been playing the clarinet for over 8 years) does the sound differ much when using a student reed and professional reed? I am personally a flute player and I don’t know much about oboes, but I have a friend that have been complaining about store bought reeds a lot and I want to surprise him with a new oboe reed but am unsure which one to get.
